I went and read the "remote work is killing London" column out of sheer morbid curiosity and all I can say is: wow. Someone got paid to write this drivel?
Also, I'm imagining London like the guy from Monty Python: "I'm not dead!" Sometimes people who work in London.... also live.... in London :o And patronise businesses local *to them* while working from home.
But we can't have common sense around these parts, now can we?
I did the same just now. He couldn’t even be bothered to make an argument! He thinks hybrid work makes a mockery of the working week; I think he makes a mockery of the work itself.
As a rule I hate the Christmas/Annual roundup, whatever the subject. It is usually the laziest shite, e.g. the collected opinions of the usual suspects (recommended books). This is different it's a diagnosis of our current predicament. Plus there's the jeopardy of increasing the number of columns each year.
"a proper reforming government" shouldn't mobilise foodbank volunteers, it should make them superfluous

Suitably hideous! I dread to think what the next two instalments will be like
Some classics in there, can’t wait for the REMAINing gems
Great stuff Mic, even though you're bringing us back some of the worst media memories (amongst some very stiff competition!)
