Absolutely brilliant- you’ve managed to coherently sum up exactly what I incoherently think. ‘Stop the boats’ is the UK’s ‘build the wall’ - and the only difference between the parties on this is the degree of technocracy involved.

Great column Mic and well done for speaking out- it's important that we do on this issue.

The BBC, in cravenly giving in to demands to upbraid Lineker, on the lines of faux balance (an issue which should not demand 'balance') is no better imo. If this is the opposition we get from the media, we're truly screwed..
