It was actually quite a shock to centrist parents! [Woke me?] to find out she was matey with Aaron Banks cos I guess it kinda put the joke on them. They've managed to forget this. Addicted to her brand of copium for them [being out of power and losing to the 'hordes' in a referendum & Jeremy & Boris] . Addiction outweighs the thought that your middle class earnestness is misplaced and you are the ones being used and mocked in reality so they forget.
Absolutely agree about being on the opposite side of the Telegraph Mail etc. I used to look at the people promoting brexit; if Farage, Johnson, Rees-Mogg, Francois etc were in favour of it, it absolutely had to be bad for everybody else and so it proved.
