Did you catch the World at One yesterday? At best I find Sarah Montague insufferably censorious but devoting 30 mins - I.e. the whole ‘show’ to a regurgitation of the victim statements was gobsmackingly goulash. I had to switch off.
I am finding the extensive coverage of this story ghoulish and, like you, have to switch off when it is being broadcast. What do we gain from hearing the extremely tragic experiences of the parents over & over again?
As the media was concerning itself on her refusal to appear in court to hear her sentence etc. my wife said “There will now be cries to bring back the death sentence “ and the rest is history....
Watch this being used as another reason to leave the ECHR.

I didn’t. But there’s absolutely no justification for that. It’s utterly exploitative.
