One of the (many) things one senses this op-ed has, in part, been drafted in an attempt to distract us from, is the voracious requirement of these machine-learning tools to use real things written/drawn/shot/made by real people to learn from. Thus far, it appears, the UK government is (belatedly perhaps, but still refreshingly, and a bit surprisingly, from my perspective) not convinced of their arguments. Fingers crossed.
Too tired to write anything coherent but I love that you somehow collated SO much of the total bullshit that has caused me both annoyance and despair and flung it over the wall.
Thanks Mic. Sagacious, as ever.

Cheers, AB. Yes, these are digital hairballs and cutting them up reveals all the barely digested articles and art stolen to bake them.
"..... a brightly coloured and easily consumed Skittle versus the layered flavours of a sophisticated salad of fibrous facts." sheer bloody poetry :)
Thanks, Kevin. I was going a little baroque there.
and the Koresh comparison is truly apt

Thank you.
