Third, by the sheer stumbling incompetence of your average Tory hatchet-man, now infiltrating the management: sooner or later, everything they touch turns to dust and ashes....

That was pretty much my summary whenever the Lineker thing came up in conversation:
"Everything they (the Tories) touch turns to shit."
If anything good comes of it, it could be that more people will surely see that that statement is true.
