I was witness to just how Brexiteers infiltrated Northern Irish loyalist white supremacist communities and redeploying their righteous rage of decades of local and UK (and Irish) state enabled political and economic abuses and neglect to expidite a yes vote for Brexit. All I can say to all pro EU social democrats in Blighty and Ireland is, yet again, Look Behind You !
As much as I'm not sure you should give the likes of Ms. Pearson the oxygen of publicity, I think it's important that the attempt to compare Bob Vylan to the Lucy Connolly case doesn't get any traction (Marina Hyde, for example, has also been at this). Sure, Ms. Connolly's punishment was excessive, but one was punching up and the other very much down.
I like the idea of the “confusingly called” Bob Vylan. How likely are you going to confuse them with the old Jewish guy Bob Dylan? Some Telegraph readers are going to be very disappointed when they buy the wrong tickets this year.
Interesting and I bought your book. I am old but the landscape has changed sufficiently. Many others have written similar books over the years, some of which I have found educative. I’m not really conversant with the profusion of sources today, but I refuse to let this bamboozle me deeper into my armchair. I find the oversimplification of complex issues vexing (not to dwell on the proliferation of non-newsworthy articles and topics). Hope your book helps.
Another great read, anyway miss Pearson seems to think the lefty women only catch Chlamydia,so to mention and be knowledgeable about Chlamydia, it seems to me that Miss Pearson has personal memories of it and the itch, allegedly
Getting a reaction is all Kneecap and Bob Vylan seek given how unremarkable they otherwise are. They should be totally overshadowed by genuine talent such as Raye. We all have access to the off button!
It might be worth thinking of this government’s anti political protest propaganda and legal authoritarianism within the wider context of the UK. Ben Habib’s new far right political party Advance UK has a pledge to support Unionists in Northern Ireland to effectively either create a hard repartition across the island and/or economically absorb Ireland back under a UK political alliance. The demonisation of Kneecap is not an unrelated sideshow but a well worn tactic to create anti Irish sentiment within the British voters. Again not unrelated is this recent Unionist/Loyalist backed call for forced immigrant removals in Northern Ireland: https://www.irishnews.com/news/northern-ireland/anti-immigration-petition-calling-for-closure-of-northern-irelands-borders-hosted-by-local-businesses-CU2SP6G2D5H25LUWARB6KRYC4E/?utm_source=Morning+Newsletter&utm_campaign=98bdb7cb9a-MORNING_BRIEFING_2025_07_02_09_11&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_da6327494b-98bdb7cb9a-114816420&mc_cid=98bdb7cb9a

P.S.: Will get to your book soon - promise!

Yeah, it’s hardly baffling!

Thanks, John. I hope it does too!
